Filio: Germany Guidebook
"A practical guidebook app designed to help newcomers settle and navigate everyday life in Germany with ease."

Problem :
Moving to a new country can be overwhelming — from understanding healthcare and education to managing paperwork and daily life.
Newcomers in Germany often face difficulties finding reliable, structured, and localized information in one place.
Existing resources are fragmented, mostly in German, and not user-friendly for those unfamiliar with the system.

Solution :
Filio was designed as a personal guide app that helps users navigate life in Germany through structured, accessible, and localized content.
The app organizes key topics — such as healthcare, studying, immigration, finance, and lifestyle — into intuitive categories with clean visuals and easy navigation.
A built-in “Task Manager” feature helps users track important steps like visa applications or healthcare registrations, turning complex processes into clear, actionable tasks.

Challenge :
The main challenge was designing for a diverse audience — users from various backgrounds, languages, and technical literacy levels.
The interface needed to remain simple and intuitive, while still providing a large amount of structured content.
Balancing between information density and emotional comfort was crucial to avoid overwhelming users.

Summary :
Filio simplifies the process of settling into life in Germany through a thoughtful and structured design approach.
It demonstrates how digital products can empower people by making complex systems more understandable and approachable.
The project strengthened my experience in UX content architecture, cross-cultural design, and user empathy — proving that design can bridge not only language but also life transitions.
